FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry and is intended for obtaining and analyzing characteristic data for products. Device (10) comprises conveyor (11), which has no gaps in transportation plane and is intended for transportation of separate products (12) in T direction of transportation from loading end to unloading end, X-ray unit (13) comprising at least one X-ray source (14) and at least one X-ray chamber (15) for receiving characteristic data of products, which are installed between the loading end and unloading end of conveyor (11), wherein X-ray source (14) and X-ray chamber (15) are connected to conveyor (11) so that products (12) can be directed between source (14) and chamber (15). Device also comprises control unit (16, 19), which is connected to X-ray unit (13) and is configured to receive and analyze characteristic data of products, which form the first data set and obtained by X-ray unit (13). At least one optical camera (17) is connected to conveyor (11) between its loading end and unloading end, by means of which, in addition to X-ray unit (13), characteristic data of products (12) transported on said conveyor (11) can be obtained. Optical camera (17) is connected to control unit (18, 19) configured to receive and analyze characteristic data forming a second data set and obtained by optical camera (17). First and second data sets are analyzed in control units in form of separate disconnected data sets.

EFFECT: invention also relates to plant (29) containing such device (10), and to a method for processing products (12) of food industry.
