SUBSTANCE: object of the present invention is an apparatus for making multi-segment rods, comprising feed mechanism (2) configured to feed rod-like elements (S1, S2) in the form of a rod-shaped element (ST1) flow; wrapping device (6) located downstream of feeding mechanism (2) in direction of element flow (ST1) movement and intended for wrapping row (S1, S2) of rod-like elements in wrapping material (7) to form continuous rod (CR); conveyor unit (1) located between feeding mechanism (2) and wrapping unit (6) and intended for formation of flow (ST2) arranged in axial direction of rod-like elements (S1, S2) and for transfer of rod-like elements (S1, S2) by means of several conveyor wheels (9, 10, 11) to wrapping unit, wherein rod-like elements transfer is carried out along guides (20, 21, 22); as well as cutting means (8) used for cutting continuous rod (CR) into separate rods (R), each of which comprises a row of rod-shaped elements (S1, S2), according to the invention, at least the last wheel of wheels (11) in unit (1), transporting rod-like elements (S1, S2) to wrapping device (6), is a wheel, circular surface (11A) of which does not have protrusions.
EFFECT: disclosed is an apparatus for making multi-segment rods for tobacco industry products and a conveyor unit for transferring a stream of rod-like elements.
