SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cleaning unit for machines used in the tobacco industry, which is configured to remove contaminants from loose material from rod-like elements arranged in a moving chain, wherein the chain comprises rod-shaped elements separated from each other by gaps filled with loose material, the chain is partially wrapped with wrapping material, wherein the cleaning assembly comprises at least one suction nozzle for collecting contaminants from the loose material from the rod-like elements, wherein the cleaning assembly further comprises a displacement mechanism configured to displace the closing elements into positions in which the closing elements at least partially close gaps filled with loose material between the rod-like elements near the suction nozzle during movement of the chain.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of removal of contaminants.
