FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of wear-resistant composites by explosive pressing, which can be used for production of friction pairs. Pressed powder mixture consisting of nickel and 45–50 wt% of tungsten boride is placed in cylindrical ampoules in the form of pipes from austenitic steel, they are laid tightly against each other on a steel base in form of a plate, obtained from two sides of obtained package of cylindrical ampoules auxiliary rods in form of steel pipes filled with high-plastic low-melting metal, with same outer diameter as cylindrical ampoules, installed on surface of pack of cylindrical ampoules, throwing steel plate with charge of explosive, the obtained assembly is placed on the ground and explosive pressing is performed by initiating the detonation process in the explosive charge along the ampoule package. Deformed ampoules with compacted powder mixtures contained therein are subjected to thermal treatment to produce all-welded composite material in form of rods, each of which contains shell from austenitic steel with high-hard wear-resistant alloy arranged inside it and consisting of products of interaction of nickel with boride of tungsten.
EFFECT: higher hardness.
