FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of composite material from steel and mixtures of powders of nickel and tungsten boride. Proposed method comprises placing pressed powder mixture in cylindrical steel ampoule, initiation of detonation process in explosive charge and explosive pressing. Pressed powder mixture consisting of Ni and W2B5, are placed in cylindrical ampoules in the form of pipes from austenitic steel, they are laid tightly against each other on a steel base in form of a plate, installed on both sides of the obtained packet auxiliary rods in the form of steel pipes filled with high-plastic low-melting metal, on the surface, a steel plate with an explosive charge is thrown; the obtained assembly is placed on the ground and explosive pressing is performed. Deformed ampoules are subjected to heat treatment with subsequent cooling in air.
EFFECT: obtaining composite material in form of rods, each of which contains a shell from austenitic steel, connected by local welded joints with located inside it high-hard wear-resistant alloy consisting of products of interaction of nickel with boride of tungsten.
