FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing polymer articles with nanoparticles of silver or copper, intended for wide application in various branches of science and technology, as well as antibacterial material. Method involves stretching a stretched polymer article in an organic solvent containing a dissolved silver or copper salt by a cracking mechanism or impregnating an open-pore polymer matrix of a PAFM with a dissolved silver or copper salt. Starting polymer used is semi-crystalline with degree of crystallinity of 20 to 80 % or amorphous glass-like polymers. Silver or copper salt is selected from bromide, chloride or nitrate or mixture thereof. Then one proceeds with drying the product elongated by 150 or 200 % and exposing it to ionizing radiation in the presence of a water-alcohol medium with alcohol content, which ensures deactivation of the formed OH-radicals. Irradiation is carried out with effective energy of quanta providing recovery of said metal ions and formation of nanoparticles directly in nanoporous structure of polymer matrix, for example, at 16–25 keV.
EFFECT: invention provides an environmentally friendly and reagent-free method of producing polymer articles with metal nanoparticles sized from 5 to 15 nm while expanding the range of polymers – semicrystalline and amorphous glass-like.
