FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and technology of polymers and a method of producing polymer articles based on semicrystalline (SC) polymers with antibacterial properties, which can be used in textile industry, medicine, in special purpose articles, etc. Method involves uniaxial stretching of elongated polymer articles in a liquid medium containing a dissolved silver salt. Starting polymers used are semi-crystalline polymers with crystallinity of more than 20 %. Products are dried in free condition or in isometric conditions with subsequent exposure on article. Exposure is carried out by heat treatment of the article at temperature of 50 °C to the melting point of SC polymer for at least 5 s or by irradiating the polymer article with ultraviolet light for at least 10 minutes.

EFFECT: obtaining polymer articles with antibacterial properties at uniform distribution of the functional additive in nanosized state throughout the polymer.
