FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of chemicals, specifically to a method of producing a zinc-picolinic acid coordination compound. Method involves reaction of a metal ion with a ligand in the medium of a three-component aqueous organic solvent with subsequent separation of the residue. Solvent used is a system of acetonitrile : ethanol : water with volume ratio of components of 13:6:1, the reaction is carried out by electrolysis of a solution containing picolinic acid, with zinc electrodes and potassium chloride as a background electrolyte, wherein the weight ratio of acetonitrile : ethanol : water : picolinic acid : electrolyte is 51.19:23.68:5.00:1.00:0.05, the density of direct current is equal to 3–5 mA/cm2.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a coordination compound of zinc with picolinic acid in one step and with shorter time costs.
