FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for steel melting in converter. Devices for oxygen blowing of liquid component of charge, particularly cast iron, are made in the form of injectors located in the side wall along the inner rim of the converter, located at the level of melt and made in the form of an ultrasonic nozzle of Laval, surrounded by a circular nozzle forming the enveloping gas jet, and directed to the surface melt at an angle of not more than 43°, wherein the ultrasonic nozzle is configured to supply oxygen therethrough, the ultrasonic velocity of which is greater than (1.5x) of the sound speed, and the annular nozzle is configured to supply a mixture of compressed air and natural gas therethrough, wherein the pulse of the oxygen jet supplied through the ultrasonic nozzle enables the oxygen jet to penetrate into the molten metal bath.
EFFECT: invention allows injectors to feed oxygen over melt level through injectors built into converter sidewall.
