FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquefaction of gases. In the disclosed method for liquefaction of a gaseous evaporation stream by means of a closed cooling cycle, the refrigerant fluid is compressed in a first compression means, cooled down, and then reheated in the main heat exchanger by heat exchange between the evaporation stream to be liquefied and the refrigerant fluid. Liquefied natural gas flow is stored in the reservoir to form a gaseous evaporation stream. Natural gas evaporation stream is compressed in the second compression means. Compressed flow is fed into main heat exchanger for its condensation. Second compression means is actuated by the same drive mechanism as the first compression means. Compression means are driven at different speeds.
EFFECT: reduced capital expenditures.
