FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for diagnosing the laryngeal structure and function in tracheostomy patients suffering a stroke. Method for diagnostics of laryngeal structure and function in tracheostomy patients with stroke by means of flexible endoscope, in which after gastric decompression, removal of tracheostomy tube, application anesthesia of tracheostomy fistula and trachea by lidocaine 10 % and inspection of respiratory tract in distal direction of tracheostoma endoscope is turned in proximal direction and examined proximal segment of trachea and larynx, structure and mobility of false and true vocal folds, as well as protective function of larynx by visual control of test fluid migration after introduction into oral cavity of 3-4 portions of 10 ml of slightly colored methylene blue 0.9 % sodium chloride solution.
EFFECT: method described above promotes effective diagnosis of the structure and function of the larynx in tracheostomy patients with stroke, widens the possibility of examining the distal surface of vocal folds, reduces the invasiveness of the procedure and the difficulty of local anesthesia.
