SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology. Disclosed is a device and method for self-selection of relatively highly mobile morphologically normal spermatozoa with high DNA integrity from raw or unprocessed seminal fluid. Device comprises fluid channel with inlet and outlet chambers and multiple column elements. Inlet chamber serves to introduce uncleaned or untreated seed fluid into the fluid channel; the outlet chamber serves to collect the collected sperm cells from the fluid channel. Method involves filling a fluid channel with sperm cell sustaining a buffer solution, administering unconsumed or unprocessed seminal fluid containing sperm cells into an inlet chamber, incubating a fluid channel and collecting sperm cells from the outlet chamber.

EFFECT: inventions provide non-invasive determination of sperm cell characteristics and efficient selection of mobile and healthy sperm cells.
