SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of reducing emission of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and propionaldehyde from polyurethane foam. Emission reduction is ensured by using a reaction mixture containing at least one isocyanate-reactive component, selected from polyether polyol, isocyanate component and cyanoacetamide, as well as additionally reducing formaldehyde content of agent. Formaldehyde reducing agent contains one or more amine components and an auxiliary reagent. One or more amine components is a mixture, containing triethyltetramines, tetraethylpentamines, pentaethyl hexamines, hexaethylheptamines, heptaethyl octamines and/or octa-ethyl-nonamines. Auxiliary reagent is selected from a group, including a cyclic urea, which is substituted with at least one isocyanate-reactive group, a free radical scavenger, a polymeric acid, containing at least three identical repeating monomers from either unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride.

EFFECT: said method enables to reduce the emission of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and propionaldehyde from polyurethane foam while maintaining its properties.
