FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from energy-saturated materials, and more specifically to fire-hazardous processing operations, in particular for molding charges based on pyrotechnic and explosive compositions. Method of pressing pyrotechnic charges on automatic rotor lines consists in automatic batching of a portion of loose pyrotechnic composition into a matrix with subsequent molding of charge by compaction of pyrotechnic composition, extraction of charge from matrix and its movement into receiving container. Supply of first and subsequent portions of loose pyrotechnic composition into matrix, as well as extraction of molded pyrotechnic charge from matrix and its movement into receiving container are carried out when following condition L≥L', where: L is the least distance between boundaries of two nearest matrices, as well as between boundaries of the receiving container and the nearest matrix, cm; L' – distance from the matrix boundary to the outer boundary of the hazardous area of the emergency pyrotechnical charge, see. At that, the bin with loose pyrotechnic composition is always at a distance from the matrix, at which the following condition is met: l≥l', where: l is the smallest distance from the hopper boundary with the pyrotechnic composition to the nearest matrix boundary, cm; l' is the size of the boundary of the hazardous area of the emergency pyrotechnic composition in the hopper, cm.

EFFECT: invention increases safety of production.
