FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to anesthesiology and resuscitation in oncology, and is intended to prevent acute pain in postoperative chemical pleurodesis due to the presence of recurrent pleuritis, spontaneous pneumothorax following radical thoracoplastic operations in lung cancer. 24 hours before the chemical pleurodesis is performed by sclerosing preparations, a transdermal therapeutic system based on fentanyl in dose of 75–100 mcg/h is applied on the shoulder or back of the patient depending on the patient's weight and age.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables safe, adequate prevention of developing acute pain accompanying chemical pleurodesis by sclerosing agents with minimal risks of developing undesirable therapeutic effects in lung cancer patients following radical thoracoplastic surgeries.
