FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice-technology, particularly, to performance of icebreaking works by air-cushion ships. Method consists in destruction of ice cover by two ships on air cushion (SAC), side-by-side sides and with tightened upward parts of flexible enclosures.
EFFECT: higher ice breaking capacity of ships is achieved; higher efficiency of ice cover destruction.
