FIELD: icebreaking works.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice-breaking, particularly, to performance of icebreaking works by air-cushion ships. Air-cushion ship is moved along free water to the ice cover edge with subsequent movement. During movement, air cushion pressure is periodically varied at frequency equal to own vibration frequency of section of ice cover under ship.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
