FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dental medicine. Disclosed is a method for diagnosing disorders of the configuration of a person's face in dental work, characterized by the fact that on a face photograph in the face or face position of a human face in a full face position form a primary front frame, corresponding to individual human face proportions and consisting of a lower base, which is a horizontal line, a tangent to a point on the lower edge of the lower jaw, an upper base in the form of a horizontal line tangential to the highest point on the skull, and lateral boundaries in form of vertical lines passing tangentially to most protruding points on zygomatic bone and perpendicular to lines of upper and lower bases. That is followed by computed tomography to obtain a face image in a full-face position and aligning the obtained image with a photograph or a human face scan by coincidence of the points of location along the outer border of the right eye and the outer border of the left eye, the most protruding point on the edge of the nose and the lowest point on chin. Thereafter, the secondary face frame is formed on the human face photograph or scan corresponding to the initial proportions of the human face and in which the bases and lateral borders make up 62 % and 38 % of the corresponding size of the primary front frame, which is applied on the image obtained by computed tomography, and if there is a difference in the height of the frames, the need to correct the height of the dentitions is stated.
EFFECT: invention provides a simple method of diagnosing disorders of the configuration of a person's face in terms of determining the initial initial position of the lower jaw by the ratio of face proportions of a specific person.
