SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol-generating article holder comprising a mouthpiece having a mouth end and a distal end and forming a passage extending from the mouth end to the distal end, wherein the channel is configured to insert the aerosol-generating article introduced in the direction from the distal end toward the mouthpiece end; a cell extending from the mouthpiece and configured to surround at least a portion of the heat source of the aerosol-generating article and configured to provide air access to the heat source, wherein the cell is configured to smoothly move relative to the mouthpiece, and a seal extending from the inner surface of the cell, wherein the seal is configured to surround the article-generating article and contact therewith further downstream of the heat source, wherein the mouthpiece forms a flange, and the cell forms a stop configured to interact with the flange as the cell distal movement relative to the body.

EFFECT: technical result consists in maintenance of solid heat source during reduction of temperature of unprotected element, which can be exposed to user or its environment.
