FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of L-amino acids. Disclosed is a system for splitting glycine containing GcvP, GcvT and GcvH enzymes, said system comprising at least one of the following polypeptides: GcvP enzyme with a sequence that is at least 90 % identical to the sequence under SEQ ID NO: 40, GcvT enzyme with a sequence that is at least 90 % identical to the sequence under SEQ ID NO: 42, GcvH enzyme with a sequence that is at least 90 % identical to the sequence under SEQ ID NO: 38. Invention also discloses a polypeptide which is an enzyme of a glycine cleavage system, a polynucleotide which codes an enzyme of a glycine cleavage system, an expression vector containing at least one of said polynucleotides. Presented is a method for producing an excess amount of L-amino acid, in which said glycine cleavage system and/or at least one said polypeptide and/or at least one said polynucleotide and/or said vector is used.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides efficient production of L-amino acid selected from L-alanine, L-valine and L-amino acids of glutamate family.
