FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power industry, namely to vibration dampers for protection of wires and lightning protection cables of air power transmission lines, and also self-bearing fiber-optical communication cables. The damper consists of an elastic damping element (2), loads and a clip (3). Loads, various by weight, are designed as curved cores consisting of a middle piece and two edge rectilinear or curvilinear pieces which are fastened to an elastic damping element (2) by means of a branch pipe or can be directly fastened through a hole in each load. The branch pipe is located in the direction towards an elastic damping element from each load or attached from the outer side of a load.
EFFECT: in the offered damper due to an optimum ratio of masses and geometrical sizes of loads, and also lengths of their fixing on an elastic damping element its high amplitude-frequency characteristics are provided.
