FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power engineering, namely to vibration dampers for the protection of overhead lines, in particular wires, lightning-resistant cables, self-supporting optical cables of overhead power lines and communication lines. The vibration dampener contains a hollow housing made of two semi-hulls that limit the inner cavity of the housing by connecting their end parts to each other along the perimeter. The outer edge of the flexible membrane dividing the inner cavity of the body into two damping cavities is placed between the end parts of the half-hulls. The damping cavities are interconnected by means of a throttling bypass channel. A load is attached to the membrane with the possibility of joint oscillation with it, while both in the load and in the membrane, there is a hole in which a rod is located that pulls together the half-hulls with the possibility of compression between their end parts of the membrane edge. According to the invention, the outer edge of the membrane is provided with a protrusion made of a malleable material in the form of an annular stiffener placed in an annular recess of the end surface of one of the half-hulls.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the reliability of the device during the entire service life while maintaining its damping characteristics.
