FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and is intended for use in radio monitoring systems when solving the problem of hidden determination of coordinates of a radio-frequency source (RFS), in conditions of a priori uncertainty with respect to polarization and spatial parameters of radio signals, noise and interference, when requirements are imposed on minimizing the overall dimensions of the direction-finding antenna system, in particular, for determination of coordinates of radio-frequency sources from board of aircraft (AC). Method is based on arrangement of TOFAS on aircraft moving in space, measurement by means of TOFAS of orthogonal components Hx1, Hy1, Hz1, Hx2, Hy2, Hz2, Hx3, Hy3, Hz3 and Hx4, Hy4, Hz4 of vectors of magnetic field intensity , , and at moments of time t1, t2, t3 and t4, determination of orientation of vectors , , and in space, construction of auxiliary planes ΩH1, ΩH2, ΩH3 and ΩH4, plotting lines of position of the RFS l1 and l2, calculating the coordinates of the RFS at the point of intersection of the position lines of the RFS l1 and l2.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining coordinates of a radio-frequency source based on the use of an aircraft moving in space and equipped with a tri-orthogonal frame antenna system (TOFAS).
