FIELD: methods of aerosol generation.

SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses evaporator (21) for an aerosol generating system. Evaporator comprises tubular element (22), greed (25) and heater (26). Tubular element has inner reservoir (23) for containing a certain amount of liquid substrate forming aerosol. Grid is provided in inner container of tubular element. Heater is provided outside the tubular element. Heater is configured to heat the grid and a certain amount of the liquid aerosol-forming substrate to a temperature sufficient for evaporation of at least a portion of the enclosed some amount of the liquid aerosol-forming substrate.

EFFECT: present invention also discloses an aerosol generation method.
