SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aerosol generating system comprising a liquid storage part for storing a liquid aerosol-forming substrate, an evaporator, comprising a heating element with an internal passage, and a micro pump configured to deliver the liquid aerosol-forming substrate to the heating element inner channel, wherein the evaporator is configured to heat the delivered aerosol-generating substrate in said inner passage to temperature, sufficient for evaporation of at least part of delivered liquid aerosol-forming substrate. Present invention also relates to a cartridge for an aerosol generating system comprising a liquid storage part for generating an aerosol system.
