SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to surgical stapling tools. Surgical instrument comprises a barrel assembly, a handle assembly and a fixation system configured to operably connect the handle and barrel assemblies. Fixation system includes barrel and handle locking elements, respectively connected to barrel and handle assemblies to prevent functional detachment of barrel assemblies and handle. Fixing element has cam surface and fixing element. Fixing element is made with possibility of selective movement from locked position into open position in such a way that the movement of the fixing element results in the barrel locking elements and handles disengaging and disconnecting the barrel and handle assemblies. Fixing element is additionally configured to selectively move from an open position to a retrieval position in such a way that further movement of the fixing element engages the cam surface of the fixing element with the camping base and forces the barrel assembly in the direction for removal.

EFFECT: improved design of a locking system of a shaft assembly with a handle assembly.
