SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, more specifically to cardiology, and discloses a diagnostic technique for postinfarction inflammation in the myocardium associated with unfavorable cardiac remodeling. Method involves carrying out immunofluorescence analysis of myocardial samples in patients undergoing MI, and determining the amount of stabilin-1-positive/α-SMA-negative macrophages in 1 mm2. Criterion for diagnosis of postinfarction inflammation in the myocardium associated with unfavorable cardiac remodeling is the amount of stabilin-1-positive/α-SMA-negative macrophages 0–18/mm2 in myocardium distant from infarction, at optical magnification 630.

EFFECT: method enables diagnosing postinfarction inflammation in the myocardium and timely correction of the corresponding therapy and can be used to improve the quality of diagnosing postinfarction unfavorable cardiac remodeling and developing a personalized approach to treating MI patients.
