SUBSTANCE: invention relates to isolator and discharger for overvoltage protection, comprising. Discharger comprises first and second connecting terminals (1, 2) for connection to active leads of electrical system, between which protective element (3) is inserted, provided with a pair of electrodes (4) electrically connected to said connecting terminals, disconnector disposed between first terminal (1) and electrode (4) of protective element (3) and comprising metal plate (5) having base end (5a) electrically connected to first terminal (1), and a far end electrically connected to electrode (4), wherein plate (5) is made of material and has a section suitable for its sublimation in the presence of short-circuit currents above a given threshold value, intercepting slider (7), made with possibility of sliding movement in longitudinal direction and located between base end (5a) of plate (5) and electrode (4) of protective element (3) for electric arc propagation interception, slide guide (6) for intercepting slide (7), at that possibility of slider displacement in longitudinal direction by preloaded elastic means towards position of interception with support in part of plate (5) is made in form of hollow elongated body open on rear end and closed at front end, comprises a portion of pre-loaded elastic means (8) and is provided with at least one opening on the side wall of said hollow body passing through it through its thickness and providing communication between outer side and inner side of hollow elongated body of slide (7).
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of interruption of electric arc.
