FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Powder extrusion device comprises an elongated hollow reservoir having a manual air pump attached to the reservoir and an opening for extrusion at the distal end of said reservoir. Porous filter is arranged inside reservoir to slide between said air pump and said extrusion orifice. Spring is placed inside the reservoir between the air pump and the porous filter. Powder is located inside the reservoir between the porous filter and the hole for extrusion, and the pump is in fluid communication with the hole for extrusion through the porous filter and through the powder. Porous filter comprises interconnected pores or channels having a size preventing the powder from passing through the porous filter and preventing penetration of the powder into the air pump so that the air pump does not contain powder. Device provides repeated compression and operation of air pump for repeated extrusion of amount of powder, as well as obtaining equal amounts of powder during successive extrusions. Said spring in compressed state exerts pressure on filter, causing movement of filter in distal direction.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling one-hand extrusion of absorbable haemostatic powders for topical application directly onto the wound.
