METHOD FOR DETERMINING HIGH DEGREE OF MYOPIC AMETROPIA CORRECTION METHOD COMBINED WITH THIN CORNEA Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F9/07 A61F2/14

Abstract RU 2715211 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For correction of high-grade myopic ametropia combined with a thin cornea, MyoRing ring is implanted into an intra-stromal pocket formed using a femtosecond laser at depth of 80–87 % of the minimum thickness of the cornea. With a cylindrical refraction component of 0.25–0.75 dioptres and a spherical refractive component of 6.0–20.0 dioptres a negative phakic IOL or a MyoRing ring is implanted. If spherical component of refraction 21.0–30.0 dioptres is implantation of negative phakic IOL. If the refractile cylindrical component is 0.76–4.5 dioptres and the spherical component of refraction 6.0–20.0 dioptions, the MyoRing ring is implanted. If the spherical component of refraction is 21.0–30.0 dioptres, the first step involves implantation of the negative phakic IOL, then 1 month later, laser correction of the cylindrical refractive component. If the cylindrical refractive component is more than 4.5 D and the spherical component of refraction is 6.0 dioptres and more, the first stage involves implantation of the MyoRing ring, and after 12 months after the operation, the second stage is laser additional correction of the remaining cylindrical refractive component by the LASEK method.

EFFECT: method reduces the risk of intra- and postoperative complications, provides high functional results and reduced length of rehabilitation of patients and improved quality of life.
