FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to production of shell-like parts of diameter Dz0, on the surface of which there are rhomboid retaining flights. Proposed device comprises lower plate with matrix with preset number of multistart spiral projections of required height with lifting angle of 10 to 45° on working cavity, bearings and shank. It is ensured by the fact that the matrix is made with diameter of the lead-in part Dm0=Dz0 with possibility of squeezing and application of spiral retaining flights, the height of which on the working surface is equal to (0.005…0.025)Dm0, at that, the device has a holder, in which the spring-loaded stops are fixed with a cover , made with possibility of radial movement.
EFFECT: reduction of process force required for application of retaining flights on outer surface of large-size cylindrical shells.
