FIELD: electric power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: use in the field of electric power engineering for determination of inoperative generating unit (GU) in ship electric power stations. According to method determining moment, when non-uniform loading of generator sets exceeds set limits of setpoint, and moment, when loading of one or several GU decreases, and loading of other increases, and at coincidence of these moments there determined is generator unit (generator units), which loading (which is reduced) as inoperable (inoperative).
EFFECT: faster determination of inoperable GUE.
