FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the food industry. Composition for food product preparation contains water in amount of 40–70 % of total weight of composition, taste-and-flavour additives in amount of 1 to 30 % of total weight of composition, salt in amount of 10 to 25 % of the total weight of the composition, a first starch which is a gelatinised modified starch, gelatinised starch from wax rice or a combination thereof, and a second starch which is a non-crystallized starch in amount of 3 to 9 % of the total weight composition. Composition is not jelly and has a fluid consistency with viscosity in range of 15 to 120 Pa⋅s at a shear rate of 1 s-1 at 25 °C. Also disclosed is a method of producing said composition, use thereof for preparing a food product and a corresponding food product.

EFFECT: combination of two types of starches enables to create a fluid consistency of the product and simultaneously form a coating on the surface of the ingredients of the food product.
