FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology, namely to molecular biology. A set of oligonucleotide primers and a fluorescence-labeled probe for identifying West Nile virus 1 genotype by polymerase chain reaction with reverse transcription and hybridization-fluorescence counting of results, complementary to the fragment of the West Nile polyprotein gene genotype 1, having direct and reverse primer activity, and a "molecular beacon" type probe which provides fluorescent detection of the amplification product with size of 152 base pairs in real time.
EFFECT: invention enables high-specific detection of West Nile virus of genotype 1 in biological material and can be used in epidemiological surveillance of West Nile fever.
