FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: developed set of oligonucleotide primers and fluorescence-labeled probe for identification of West Nile virus lineage 4 by polymerase chain reaction with reverse transcription and hybridization-fluorescence allowance for results, complementary to West Nile virus lineage 4 polyprotein gene fragments, having activity of forward and reverse primers, and a probe designed as "molecular beacon", providing fluorescent detection of amplification product with size of 147 base pairs in real time.
EFFECT: invention enables high-specific detection of West Nile virus lineage 4 in biological material in a short period of time.
