FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies for storage of apples in fruit storage facilities at low temperature and can be used for scheduling of agricultural products in order to avoid its spoilage during storage. Method for prediction of apple tree fruit storage life consists in performing periodic samples of representative samples of apples taken from a storage chamber with interval of 2–3 weeks with placement of this sample in a sealed temperature-controlled chamber. Tests are carried out at temperature of 25.5–40 °C for 15–48 hours with the additional presence in the atmosphere of the chamber of ethylene or acetylene or any of their mixtures when their content in the atmosphere of chamber is from 100 ppm to 500 ppm. That is followed by analysis of their state for detecting microbiological and physiological injuries.

EFFECT: method allows to quickly and reliably forecast apple tree fruits storability and their length of implementation without losses.
