FIELD: package and storage.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of long-term storage of fruits, berries and fruits. Before storing the products in it, the nitrate content is determined and the ratio (total sugar content/titrated acidity) (parameter "sugar/acid") is determined. Then it is kept at a lower temperature in an atmosphere containing 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), and the processing of 1-MCP itself is carried out, if the content of nitrates in fruits, berries or fruits does not exceed 200 mg/kg. Processing is carried out by contacting the yield of fruit and vegetable products with the atmosphere where the minimum required maximum concentration of 1-methylcyclopropene in the gas phase, expressed in ppm, during processing it is determined by the formula: minimum concentration of 1-MCP = 0.2×(parameter "sugar/acid") in products before processing.
EFFECT: invention provides for the creation of a more universal and easy-to-use method for the long-term storage of horticultural and crop production.
