METHOD OF REDUCING PRO-OXIDANT ACTION OF ANTICONVULSANTS IN EXPERIMENT Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2715679 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pharmacology and experimental medicine, and can be used to reduce pro-oxidant action of anticonvulsants in experiment. Method involves a daily intragastric introduction of an antiepileptic agent with a background of intraperitoneal administration of a succinate-containing preparation in dose of 100 mg/kg by succinate to laboratory animals. As a succinate-containing preparation, Reamberin is administered to rats 90 minutes before administration of Carbamazepine or valproic acid in dose of 150 mg/kg daily for 10 days.

EFFECT: method provides reducing the pro-oxidant effect of anticonvulsants in experiment by reducing the content of peroxidation products in blood and liver of animals and increasing the activity of components of the antioxidant system under conditions of reducing Reamberin's course dose.
