FIELD: oil and gas industry; mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and oil producing industries and can be used for protection of well pump installations during oil production in conditions complicated by high content of mechanical impurities in formation fluid. Device contains a pipe with perforation in the form of holes and a filter element installed concentrically to the pipe and provided with end rings on ends. Filter element is made of longitudinal rods fixed with formation of slots between them in end rings, and transverse fastening strips forming gap between outer surface of pipe and filtering element. Filter is equipped with a device for removal of mechanical impurities, which is in form of a movable ring fitted on the filter element. On the periphery of the movable ring there is an elastic element resting on the production string and having through holes, channels or cavities. On inner side of movable ring there are support-cleaning means.
EFFECT: improved convenience of service and efficiency of slot-type filter operation in the well due to reduced time for its cleaning and, as a result, increased time of the well pump unit for failure.
