FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining visual acuity. In the context of an individual test, which is part of a series of sequentially conducted individual tests, on display screen (1) of electronic device (2) or in a virtual three-dimensional view, the user outputs two spatially separated external characters (3, 4) and positioned sign (5) located between them, but not on straight line (6) connecting them. At that, the user is suggested, by activating electronic device (2), to move positioned sign (5) on display (1) perpendicular to straight line (6) connecting external signs (3, 4), until positioned sign (5) is will be presented to user located on connecting straight line (6). When manipulation of positioned sign (5) is completed, electronic device (2) detects residual distance (7) between sign (5) and connecting straight line (6). At least two or three individual tests are performed in which external signs (3, 4) are located on the same main axis (8–11), wherein within a series of tests, at least the main vertical axis (8) and the main horizontal axis (9). To determine visual acuity, residual distances (7) are used, recorded upon completion of manipulation in individual tests as part of a series of tests.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves diagnostic performance.
