FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nuclear power plant. Station comprises reactor 1 with circuit 2 of multiple forced circulation with turbine 3, generator 4 equipped with excitation system 8. Generator is asynchronised, and the excitation system is made in the form of a frequency converter. At maximum failure, network 6 is switched off and reactor 1 is shut off. Turbine 3 with generator 4 switches to coasting mode lasting for several minutes. Excitation system 8 generates in the generator a rotating magnetic field which compensates for rotation frequency drop, thereby providing constant frequency and voltage at the output of generator 4, which are necessary for operation of consumers 9, including main and nutrient centrifugal pumps, valves and gate valves, which improves reliability. Diesel generator 10 is started in 30–45 seconds.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement of reliability of power supply to consumers of nuclear power plant in case of accident.
