FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging and can be used in development of advanced multi-position radar systems and their modernization. Essence of the method consists in that for each incoming measurement from all air objects from any information position indirect measurements are made on the leading (first) position, based on which for each trajectory tracked to perform certain conditions for the received coordinates of the aerial object (entry into the gate of identification) for the path for which these conditions are met, the forecast is corrected, wherein the prediction (extrapolation) itself is carried out according to corresponding rules. Multipurpose tracking system for two-position radar system is intended for method implementation and is implemented in certain way.

EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability and accuracy of identification of aerial objects in multi-purpose tracking mode for two-position radar systems.
