FIELD: radio location.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for processing radio location signals and can be used in multi-position radio location stations for the purpose of automatic identification of decoy airbourne targets (DAT) against the background of real targets when used as sounding broadband signals providing high range resolution. The described result is achieved by combined correlation processing of radio location range portraits received from a pair of synchronised broadband radio location stations and statistical averaging of correlation coefficients in order to compile sufficient statistics.

EFFECT: increase in the quality of identifying moving decoy (simulating) targets at small heading angles and limited time for classification decision-making in low-base radio location systems.
