SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering, in particular radio electronic systems for measuring the parameters of aircraft movement, and can be used in ground-based information and measurement systems for air traffic control. The claimed method for estimating the range to a maneuvering aircraft by an information-measuring air traffic control system using tertiary information processing based on observations of several radars with known positions consists in determining the coordinates of an aerial target, transmitting information from each radar about the range to the aircraft together with an inviscid Kalman filtration to the air traffic control center, where tertiary information processing is performed for the purpose of determining the range to the aircraft.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the range to the aircraft by the method for weight processing by an information and measuring air traffic control system using tertiary processing of radar information from two radars.
