FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new type of coke containing additives and to use thereof for blast refractories, graphite electrodes in steel production, graphite capsules for connection of graphite electrodes, for cathode blocks in aluminium production, in nuclear power engineering, for instrumentation for production technologies in the field of highly corrosive media, for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, production of solar panels, electrodes for spark processing and heating elements, contact sealing rings, graphite bearings, graphite pump wheels or graphite melting crucibles. Coke contains additives which are accumulated at spreading boundaries or in areas surrounded by spreading boundaries. Additives have particle diameter of 0.1–49 mcm and are selected from acetylene coke, fluid coke, flexi-coke or coke nut, carbon black, non-graphitized carbon (coke residue), non-graphitized anthracite or silicon carbide, titanium carbide, titanium diboride or mixtures thereof.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining coke, which increases service life of carbon products obtained from said coke.
