Method involves detecting, in a canola plant, at least one marker linked to resistance to a black pedicle. Invention also relates to a method for producing a canola plant having resistance to a black pedicle. Said method involves crossing a first canola plant comprising at least one marker allele that is positively correlated with black stem resistance, with a second canola plant to obtain a population of canola plants and identification of a canola plant from a population having black stem resilience.

EFFECT: invention enables effective identification of a canola plant having resistance to a black pedicle.
