FIELD: image forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for devices having a capacitive touch screen or a touch panel. Essence of invention consists in that method of input of coordinates of touch points for capacitive touch screen, which contains electric capacity converter for determination of coordinates of geometrical centre of two-dimensional area, which comprises dielectric plate, common electrode and measuring electrodes, wherein the measuring electrodes are located on the dielectric plate in the measurement area boundary and form at least three measuring parts, measuring electrodes in each of which are electrically connected to each other and connected to the corresponding terminal, wherein measuring electrodes of measuring parts together with dielectric plate and common electrode realize function of determining coordinates of geometrical centre of two-dimensional area in area of intersection of two-dimensional area and measurement area in appropriate measurement area coordinate system, coordinates of the geometric centre of the two-dimensional region are expressed in the form of a system of values of electric capacitances of electrodes of measuring parts on the outputs of measuring parts, consists in the fact that the coordinates of the point of contact are coordinates of the geometrical centre of the two-dimensional area formed by touching the finger or the stylus to the surface of the measuring area of the electric capacitive transducer of the touch screen.

EFFECT: high accuracy of inputting coordinates and providing stability of selecting objects whose images are displayed.
