FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine coordinates of a geometric center of a two-dimensional region. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the electric capacitive converter has a dielectric substrate, a common electrode and measuring electrodes, wherein the measuring electrodes are located on the dielectric substrate in the boundary of the measurement region and form at least three measurement portions, measuring electrodes in each of which are electrically connected to each other and connected to the corresponding terminal, wherein measuring electrodes of measuring parts together with dielectric substrate and common electrode realize function of determining coordinates of geometric center of two-dimensional region in region of intersection of two-dimensional region and measurement area in appropriate measurement area coordinate system, coordinates of the geometrical center of the two-dimensional region are expressed in the form of a system of values of electric capacitances of electrodes of measuring parts on the outputs of measuring parts of the measuring region of the electrical capacitive converter.
EFFECT: possibility of increasing accuracy and operating speed.
