FIELD: rolling production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling production and can be used when rolling tramway grooved rails on rail and beam mills equipped with a continuously reversing group, which includes universal four-roll stands. The method includes rolling in box crimped - trapezoidal axial and rib - rail split straight closed and rail straight closed calibers, where in the split straight closed rail and the following rail straight closed calibers, the head element is displaced with the neck tilted by an amount that provides division of the height of the element caliber head in half by a neutral line calculated without displacement of the head element.
EFFECT: improving the quality of tram grooved rails, stabilizing the rolling process, increasing the productivity of the mill and reducing the number of shaped gauges for forming a rough rail billet.
