SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation technology and can be used in articles of aviation and rocket and space technology. The structural mesh shell consists of composite materials with metal skin, is formed from layers of systems of crossing spiral, annular, and longitudinal tapes of unidirectional bundles fastened with a polymer binder, forming spiral, annular, and longitudinal ribs, repeating along the thickness of the shell wall. The upper surfaces of the ribs are therein connected with the metal skin, and metal embedded elements are wound into the ribs of the mesh structure near the area of crossing thereof in order to fasten the mesh shell with the metal skin using mechanical connections. The group of inventions also relates to a method for manufacturing a structural mesh shell.

EFFECT: total weight of the structure is reduced, strength and durability of the structure are increased.
